With over 40 years of architectural practice, Hugh Hardy is a recognized authority in the challenge of relating new buildings to existing context. His ability to define an active urban realm is publicly recognized. Mr. Hardy’s faithful restorations of the New Victory and New Amsterdam theaters were pivotal in the reemergence of 42nd Street. 

Mr. Hardy lends his eye to each project at H3 including a 30-story glass tower, new “green” building for the Botanical Research Institute of Texas, a federal courthouse, Biloxi’s Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum and a new open air cantina and vocal studios for the Santa Fe Opera.

Recipient of the GSA’s Commissioner’s Award for Excellence in Public Architecture, Mr. Hardy helped define this agency’s influential Design Excellence program. He has won multiple national awards and is a sought-after speaker. He is the author of Building Type Basics for Performing Arts Facilities.

Mr. Hardy holds a Master in Fine Arts in Architecture from Princeton University, where he also received his Bachelor of Architecture. He has been a member of the American Institute of Architects since 1963 and belongs to the College of Fellows.

Daria Pizzetta, AIA, is a partner at H3 with over 30 years of experience. In leading project teams, Daria transforms complex difficult architectural ideas and procedures into clear, understandable communications. Supremely organized, she knits together project teams with clarity, thoughtfulness, and humor. She has been responsible for the overall planning and design effort for many of our cultural, academic and institutional projects.  Daria also leads the Interior Design staff, seamlessly integrating the exterior with beautiful, sustainable and meaningful interior spaces.

In Steven’s eighteen years of planning and urban design experience, he has helped academic campuses, performing arts and cultural institutions, and downtown clients frame and implement creative planning solutions, whether physical or strategic.  In addition to his role at H3 as Principal, he is an Adjunct Professor of Planning at the New York University Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.

A young architect, David is LEED accredited and works on construction documentation, presentation models and creates rendered sections. He was born in Hawaii and lived in Norway for five years, where he became fluent in Norwegian and at age 12 received an award for diplomacy from the American ambassador to Norway.
