Guastavino’s

2018

In response to increased business from catering events and corporate and private rentals, Guastavino’s engaged H3 to develop a dining area expansion for the restaurant at Bridgemarket.  The design goals included a redesigned ceiling to be lighter and brighter, new finishes to make the bar warm and inviting, conceal catering access to the kitchen and upgrade mobile bars and catering stations on both levels.  The upper level mezzanine will be expanded and a new stair constructed to increase capacity.  On the lower level, new furniture and seating areas will be configured to provide more casual dining areas with lounge seating.   A new private dining room will be created in the end bay overlooking the East River.   Coat check, storage and service stations will be refinished to provide more efficient work areas.

A new restroom core will increase the number of fixtures for men and women, with new wall finishes, lighting and accessories.   A bridal suite with a private restroom will be added to provide an amenity for wedding celebrations.  Revisions to mechanical systems, lighting and fire sprinkler systems will be installed to match the new dining configuration.
